My favorite set of five Artemis II shots, edited from the original NASA photos, with white balance adjustments and composited onto pure black backgrounds. I picked these five to work well as a rotating set, with varied compositions across the group. These photos have been tuned for OLED and mini-LED Mac displays so pure black actually turns pixels off, and the subjects float in real darkness.

Features

  • HEIC native macOS wallpaper
  • #000 black backgrounds for true “pixel-off” OLED black
  • Display P3 with embedded ICC profile
  • 4:4:4 chroma subsampling
  • 5568 × 3712
  • 3:2 aspect ratio (most Mac displays are 16:10 or 16:9, these are edited to crop correctly on Mac while still supporting external displays with different aspect ratios)
  • Edited from original public domain NASA Artemis II photos
